18:35 DCer needs to be called out: You contributed greatly to that. You made a complete non-issue an issue by being impatient and not considering for a second that the other person may have just not seen you. You had HEAPS of time to slow down and just let them clear off. Probably had the horn blearing too. Doubt you'll learn your lesson, but glad to see the other car took off very slowly; serves you right.
@redwarpy8 күн бұрын
Other driver may have not seen you, are you kidding? PARKED CARS (lowest in the pecking order) have to ensure they can see before proceeding to back out of a space. Road Rules Matter.
@goaway99778 күн бұрын
@@redwarpy You have basically no visibility when backing out of a 60 degree parking spot which is why they are so rare. Especially if you are in a small car and there are large cars parked to your left. Most places with 60 degree parking will have you back in so that you can drive straight out, and places that do have 60 degree parking that you have to back out of are typically on wide streets where you can safely reverse enough to gain visibility without encroaching on the path of oncoming vehicles. In a situation like this clip the most you can really do is wait for a break in traffic then back out really slowly so that any car coming down the road has plenty of time to see you and recognise your intention well before the rear end of your car is actually in the lane of traffic. But as the driver pulling out you are still essentially driving blind, which you're right it against the rules. But there is no other option in this situation unless you have a passanger that can get out and act as a spotter. If you're unhappy with this then that's fair enough, but you should take it up with the council and in the meantime drive along these streets with caution recognising the inherent danger that this parking arrangement poses.
@retp20057 күн бұрын
@@redwarpy Well over 6 seconds (@40k) between the driver commencing pull out and the car stopping. There was no safety issue. The cars have to go in @60 degrees and the Triton prevents views to normal sedans. A few manners would help and some understanding would help. Driver just wanted a video.
@Quackerrr12327 күн бұрын
@@goaway9977 where I’m from 60 degree is very common, only noticed backing in at 60 to be a NSW thing. Even so that car 100% has a reverse camera and even if it didn’t it’s easy to see, once your rear passenger window is clear you can see fine. Person was just a jerk.
@MuertoPorDentro5126 күн бұрын
You're assuming the cammer should have known the driver of the reversing vehicle had not seem them. There was under 5 seconds between the back of the reversing vehicle being fully visible and the cammer coming to a complete stop. 5 seconds would be plenty of time to stop from 40k's, except the cammer probably assumed the reversing vehicle would stop and give way. It would have taken the cammer half a second or so to register the presence of the reversing car, lets allow another 2 seconds for the cammer to realise the reversing car was not stopping. Leaving the cammer just over 2 seconds to come to a complete stop, in the wet too no less. By that point there's no time for a gradual stop, we're bordering on emergency stop territory. We don't know if the cammer was on the horn, but if it were me I absolutely would have been. Not as a giant temper tantrum "FU you're holding me up!" but as a "Watch out, don't know if I'm going to be able to stop".
@davidvanderklauw8 күн бұрын
13:02 I drive there and would have let the bus merge in front of me. However if there had been a collision the bus driver would have been at fault for dangerously merging from the ending left lane into the right lane. "When the lane you’re driving in is ending and you need to cross a broken line to move into another lane, you must give way to vehicles already in that lane" "You must give way to a bus displaying a 'Give way to buses' sign when you're driving in the left lane or line of traffic, and the bus: has stopped or is moving slowly at the far left side of the road. is indicating right, and. is about to move in front of you."
@davidvanderklauwКүн бұрын
@@Royal_BloodLust This is Dural NSW and the bus driver would be 100% to blame. His bus stop is in lane 1 which soon ends. He must signal before moving off and is entitled to move into lane 1 ONLY. He does not have priority moving into lane 2 and must give way to any vehicle in lane 2 when he changes lane or merges. He failed to do this and could receive a fine.
