I don't understand why people criticize this genre, it's not bad, if we all miss the old trap nation. I appreciate that you took the effort to write a detailed comment, but I disagree. As someone who listened to a lot of BR phonk for a couple of months, I only listened to like 15 songs and didn't need more, and I switched to Bass Nation after that because of how repetitive it got with each song. The genre has so little room for variety, that it reminds me of bored ape NFT's. Same/highly similar sounds for melodies, similar drum patterns, same vocals... I can't blame certain artists because their songs were like the origin point for a bunch of new and repetitive songs. The lyrics can't justify that because it's the same vocal samples being used on different songs, if not it's some Brazilian dude swearing nonstop. (a neighbor was blasting BR phonk when I was texting this lol)
