Great podcast. Quick question, why is 都 written as du (with first tone) in the pinyin rather than dou, I have seen it multiple times even other videos, is this intended? ty

都 is multi sound character, the AI will automatically put all 都 sound as du, since its super high frequency word, sometimes we missed the correction while checking, sorry about that!

I speak spanish, arabic, English, and little chinese, I can confirm that each language has its own personality, chinese is very rational, I will become suddenly wise 😂, spanish is free spirited and daring, english is modern, always up to date, arabic is deep, concise and since it is my native language is the most thing that feels like home.

说到底还是不自信，怕别人笑话自己，其实别人也真的没有嘲笑的意思。就是自己心理不过关，建议可以先用母语说出来自己的想法，然后翻译成中文，找人帮忙改改，等慢慢有自信心表达自己想法时就多说

小伙子西语自然，亲切。但是Ben的似乎有点缺乏底气的样子。没有，有的中国人来到西方似乎有点憧憬对方的样子。当他作表述的时候，表情和语言似乎慎重，formal的样子。（formal的中文意思一直困扰自己。不好意思。就是正规，正经，正宗等，还有其他词语一直搞不定。却是我们学语言者需要表达的意思。说话很formal。词语formal等）小伙子说话则感觉不到了。就是Ben好像有点浪漫表情，还有点害羞。其实我们本地人觉得可爱。就是当你略微缺乏信心，表情和表述有点formal和认真，我反而让人觉得可爱。但是这个反应不应该是你所要的反应。要与当地人平起平坐，对吧。至少我是这样想的。我在上海，酒店柜台小姑娘想快速说话，压到我，让我转换英语，我才不干。我持有来征服您们的心态。bubeibukan。不是Ben老师说得不好。我没有根据推理。只是他说一两句后留给我的印象。不知道我是否在微乎其微的基础上去乱说人家的是或不是了呢？可能有了吧。不好意思。但是我其实觉得Ben的从容和友好形态是他在国外生活的利好特质。我反而到处遇到阻力。但是小伙的确敢做敢言的样子。我欣赏他那种表达方式。就是，宣布，西班牙我来了的精神。哈哈
