I loved your reaction. You were spot on. I cannot get this beat out of my head and I agree with his philosophy 100%. Drug companies and record companies are certainly in it for profit. This is not inherently wrong, except when it becomes the main motivation and it IS the main motivation. I am a 67-year-old American and nothing had excited me, in any art form, like Ren, in a long, long time.

Great reaction guys!! Sick Boi is the name of Rens next album. 16 tracks and 3 released so far. Illest of our time, his latest drop on his Birthday just happened. Watched Ren's Twitch live and he really is genuinely grateful for reactors. He broke when seeing reactors starting to upload instantly. Tears of joy 😁🙏 Money Game parts 1 and 2 needs to be watched. Really good. I'm 55 and hated Rap but Ren is musically brilliant. So many greats sold their soul to record companies. Elvis, Prince, George Michael and more. Ren making videos with little money and massive impact is so refreshing. £200 to £1000 and his production with Samuel Perry-Falvey is soooo good.

5:07 The multiple physical problems that come with autoimmune issues can certainly lead to psychological trauma, if you then throw in a misdiagnosis and medications you don’t need on top of all that it’s going to get extremely messy - first hand experience. But really enjoyed both your reactions and analysis. For future reference Ren tends to put all the correct lyrics in a pinned comment on all his videos. You both might really like a song of his from 8 years ago called ‘Patience’, I’m pretty sure it’s one of the first songs which he writes about living with his health issues - when he was diagnosed with having ME. It’s interesting to see him then and to where he is now with it all.

Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He actually had Lime Disease but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs and the Lime disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. his life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future.

Enjoying watching your reactions. I am 52, in UK and have been following Ren for some years. I am stuck in a Ren reactions rabbit hole and loving every moment….. and if possible it has made me love him more. His versatility is amazing, you just never know what you are going to get. It’s impossible to pick one favourite, but trust me he has a song for whatever mood you are in. I think his pure artistry and authenticity is why he appeals to ALL ages and genres. He has some very important things to say, and we are all very willing to listen to him. Money Game 1 & 2 (can not wait for Dads reaction to that one) really opened my eyes and taught me a lot, and watching all the reactions assures me that the younger generations are ready to fight back with peace and integrity against all the BS. NF isn't independent though - he's been signed to Capitol since 2014 (part of Universal Music Group, the biggest label in the world). He may have been independent when he first started but has had the backing of the biggest record company in the world for the last 9 years (and has also had to fight for control of his music).

Hi, very nice reactions! I’ve been down the Ren “rabbit hole” for about 2 months and he’s already one of my all time favourite artists! He is very diverse and nails everything he does! He does a great cover of War Pigs/Paranoid and also the reggae classic I Shot The Sheriff (which are worth checking out). A few that I would recommend… Jenny & Screetch Tales FULL (it’s a trilogy that is 13 minutes long but really needs to be listened to in one as it’s a reflection of Ren’s storytelling genius), illest of our time is the latest of his new stuff following Sick Boi, Ren & Chinchilla How To Be Me (but the live version where they sing it on the bridge where his good friend sadly died), also Chalk Outlines (again the live version is so much better)! and then there’s a ton of other stuff with his band The Big Push and other collaborations like Sam Tomkins where they are busking… I can’t believe that I’ve only recently come across him he has so much stuff out there! Have fun! 👍

Great reaction. Yeah, Ren is so much better off without a record label. He has become who he is despite them. A word about doctors: they usually try to help but they are constrained by their training and by politics. All they can offer us are poisons that might help and might make matters worse.

Meds are great, doctors just sometimes get it wrong like they did with his tick bite. With mental health, it's relatively recent that society has taken it seriously and the system is playing catch up. He has a song called Diazepam (brilliant drug) that goes into his feelings on medication.

I blame the system which refuses to consider safer alternatives such as homeopathy. And don't bother telling me homeopathy doesn't work. I have been using homeopathy for 45 years. It works.

Lot of Americans take this as big pharma commentary when we don't have a capitalist, for profit healthcare system. Our doctors aren't malicious but that doesn't stop them from being incompetent or not listening to someone when they say something is wrong. You'll hear stories very often about women having to fight to have their symptoms taken seriously.

This is some things Ren has possibly been dealing with Severe headaches and neck stiffness. Additional EM rashes on other areas of the body. Facial palsy (loss of muscle tone or droop on one or both sides of the face) Arthritis with severe joint pain and swelling, particularly the knees and other large joints. Intermittent pain in tendons, muscles, joints, and bones.

1 thing I always say to be aware of with Ren is, his music goes from fun and silly to cool to DARK The bad side that took over in Hi Ren was or is a part and so some is very dark, offensive to some. So some people get caught off guard because he doesnt always sing about overcoming the dark. So a song can be cursing all thats good. A really good one that shows how medication make the person you are be disolved is CHALK OUTLINES I dont know if you've covered it already but the live version is beautiful Hold on is a song of strengh Humble is a song about taking a positive from a negative Both are ace If you want ligter but still serious try Genesis If you want cool check his busking with the Big push For total silliness try What you want. He takes it back to early 90' hip hop... beastie boys type Love from the Pityakka ❤

I’ll check after this if you’ve reacted to Ren’s trilogy which is great, but have you seen the Falling In Reverse / Ronnie Radke trilogy (Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, Drugs). Similar topics but after Ren says “ I feel it’s you, not me “ the whole rap, beat & rhythm sounds similar. Both trilogies are intense. If you haven’t done the ‘Falling’ songs calm it down a bit after with Popular Monster, The Drug In Me Is Reimagined and end sad with Ren & Chinchilla’ live How to Be Me. Ignore the ones you’ve done already and great that you’re supporting and understanding Ren. NF deserves the attention he’s getting, esp with new album Hope and similar troubled rapper/singer, not to eclipse Ren cus he’s American, backed by Capitol UniversalMG. Ren can’t even do Glastonbury when asked cus of treatment but does have an album pending. Bit hypocritical cus we’re seeing NF in Oct but huge space for the gen both of them. Is this really only the second Ren song you've done? First of all I agree with Dad Ren is better than Eminem. Ren has a great voice! I highly recommend reacting to Ren X Chinchilla "How to be me" live video. Their chemistry is breathtaking!!! A heartbreaking song about a friend of Ren. It shows that Ren is a true artist and singer not just a rapper. Both of them are independent artists without a record label. And yet they are still blowing up.
