Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band, originally a supergroup from Halmstad, formed in 1995. Its members were in bands such as Carcass, Armageddon, Carnage, Mercyful Fate, Spiritual Beggars, The Agonist, Nevermore, and Eucharist.

Allysa in Archenemy used to be all growling they are incorporating her singing in the later albums. The reason for that is that she replaced Angela Gossow as lead singer when Angela became manager of the band. And Angela was one of the pioneers of females growling and she only growled no singing, and her growl was something else entirely, soooo powerful very much worth checking out. So when Allysa joined the band all the existing songs were all growling, so that's the reason for Allysa being a growler instead of clean singer early on. (btw, you are wrong that you can't growl forever, you can, well maybe not for ever ever, but depending on what style of growling you are doing vry much sustainable IF you get the technique right. False Chord growls as their name implies do not use your vocal chords but rather you're false vocal chords which are located above the Vocal Chord. With Fry screams if done right technically you would also have very little strain on your vocal folds. It's the technique part that kills some people's growls, because if you do NOT use the right technique you eventually will blow your voice out. I;m guessing that a lot of the early growlers did not necessarily know about or use the proper technique (which is unsurprising since they were developing the growling as metal music enthusiasts not as vocal anatomy experts))

Wait, is Arch Enemy supporting Nightwish in Wembley? I mean great, but also kind of weird considering that both Arch Enemy and Nightwish are huge headliner bands capable of selling out arenas! 😄 Anyways, here's a request for the metal band "Ad Infinitum". They are a European (Swiss/German) band fronted by the very talented Swiss singer (and songwriter) Melissa Bonny. They are releasing their 3rd album soon, and are currently touring Europe with Amaranthe, Beyond the Black and Butcher Babies. Melissa has quickly risen to be a power house in the European female metal scene due to her singing and songwriting talent. The band itself started as a solo project of hers on Patreon, after she left her old EDM metal band "Rage of Light". Most songs contains some screaming/growling (Melissa is great at it), and their songs are more symphonic metal in nature. maybe not quite on the level of Epica in the symphonic part. You should listen to Ad Infinitum (Melissa Bonny). She is another incredible singer that can do harsh and clean vocals as well. Their song Upside Down is fantastic.
