This is so relevant to all the people who chant the shining India "mantra" and are blissfully unaware of the reality in villages, urban slums and tribal areas. Unless we fight for the betterment of the least advantaged person of the society, "Shining India" will only resemble a cruel joke. How I wish, we had a Habib Jalib or a Faiz in today's India. And to clarify, if it is not obvious, I'm a proud Indian who happens to be born in an upper caste hindu family. That is irrelevant Iknow.

@ransteacher School text books say that Sir Iqbal awakened the nation by his poetry. I do not know what nation was that because the nation we see now did not awakened by whips of Gen.Ziyaul Hak. Hazrat Habib Jalib marhoom could not disturb the nap of this nation. This nation is still in siesta after so many martial laws. Only hope to awake this Nation is the Bugle of Israfil.

Ummat is referred to the people belong to Syedna Hadhrat Muhammad Rasoolullah sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam. A person like Sir Iqbal can never ever be a doctor to cure this Ummat. As a Muslim ,our duty is to raise our kids in the way told by our beloved prophet (SAW).
