Hey, yes actually I'm getting my master's degree right now, I started when I got data analyst. My bachelor is system(industrial) engineering so I kinda needed some lectures in my transcript such as data structures and algorithms and object oriented programming. Now I have cloud lecture AWS related and I hope it will be helpful :) I say, go for it data science or information systems work for you I guess. Good luck for us! :) @@SICHENLI-jv2kz

I'm an analyst. I'm an introvert too (Its painfully obvious in the office). With that said, you'll get used to it and so will your co-workers and stakeholders. All you have to do is deal with a bit of small talk and then its straight to business.

If you’re afraid of public speaking, you can learn the skill for it and not have to be outgoing. Presenting to business leaders on business information you’re confident on is much easier than you might think, especially since it’s not typically like you’re standing at the front of the boardroom with everyone staring at you.

Honestly almost all data analyst positions will need to present in some way - either to your team or stakeholders. I was very introverted when I first started, but I think it helped me being a bit more extroverted and got better at presenting. There will definitely be a lot of days where it's just heads down on your computer though.

You will learn to come across as an extrovert over time! I often find introverts are better presenters because they don’t want to talk 😂 So they bring in audience engagement etc and ask questions

Thoughts on how to transition from FP&A to data analyst? Currently at $115K. I'm advanced in Excel and use some PBI. I know SQL and am learning Python. I want to make a lateral move in salary and eventually go up in salary.

Seems like there would be a lot of crossover there. I would use your current experience to target mid/senior level roles - especially if you're trying to target that salary range. Try to use your domain knowledge and focus applying to larger companies that can match that salary range.
