Great video! I was looking into getting the Data engineer certification for AWS that’s coming out. I come from a computer science background but no experience in data engineering specifically, but I’ve been more and more interested in learning and getting into that field. What’s your take on what the timeline may look like on starting with the Cloud practitioner cert and then eventually getting the Data Engineer cert from AWS? You can use Azure Databricks, they provide 14 days free trial, prepare it in two weeks on cluster

I have done this certification already. I managed with the community edition itself. There were around 8 chapters and for chapters after 4th one all the exercises needed premium subscription. So I just did theory and just looked different hands on videos to imagine how it looks and works. Most imp thing is, make best use of practice paper provided by Databricks to judge and estimate on what level of questions are asked and till what depth you need to study. Practice paper is exactly like original exam with 70% of similar questions only. PS: I had 2years of working experience with Databricks.

All certifications are useless. and will not get you a job unless you have some type of network connection (You know someone in the company). Plus Hands-on experience with deep knowledge. Most companies don't care about certifications, They need knowledge and experience.
