Sir your approach to first question is bit lengthy we can directly take 17% female 15% male=32% teachers 15% non teaching staff So students will be 53% Ratio of teacher to studemts=32/53

In 1st question there is no need to find all values 17% female ...and ratio of male to female is 15:17 so male is 15% and non staff is 15% given so students=100-15-17-15=53% ...so desired ratio is 32:53
