When Picard is singing the part where it was quite hypnotic, that sample is from the episode: Timescape In it, Picard, Diana, Geordi, & Data are in a shuttlecraft returning to the Enterprise, discussing the seminars they went to at the conference. It is quite a memorable scene for me.

*_Star Trek: The Next Generation is undoubtedly the best TV show ever produced. It encapsulated the yearning of every human to be a part of something greater than themselves, as well as tickling the notion of pure unknown exploration. When I was a child, hearing the opening theme usually meant "it is time for bed", but as an adult I had the time and means to fully 'explore' and watch the entire series, and it has grabbed my heart and my mind like nothing else I have ever experienced. I thank Pogo for this amazing song, I see it as a love-letter to this amazing series, and I celebrate both with a smile, and pure nostalgia._* *_Q'apla!_*

@AshenElk Interesting, I've listened to this song more times than I can count and it's definitely Picard singing that command code. Obviously we see Data singing that part, but if you just listen you can tell that it's Picard singing that line. (And I think both of them actually say that line in the episode.
