Take it from someone who went through similar path. Although not such high paygrade yet, it is possible. Overtime requisites, demand, supply etc. will be unpredictable. If considering just take a field and invest time in it. If there is demand for competence by the time, for the field, you are becoming competent, it'll yield results. it will workout. I couldn't watch the video. Apologies if the comment is out of context.

Dark reality is data science is huge ,to complete it will take more than 1 year atleast and after learning all of those no job guarantee,if you apply for internships you won't get accepted for resume shortlist itself and coming to data science jobs they will require min 1-2 yrs exp ,so there entry barrier
