First time I have ever heard anyone pronounce it 'al-GOR-ithm' instead of 'AL-gr-ithm.' It's just a minor thing, but it's distracting since I can't stop fixating on how a person gets this far in the discipline while mispronouncing the primary term. I don't care that a person struggles with mispronunciation, but all his other pronunciation is pretty good except for the primary term of the topic at hand. That's just funny. Every time he says 'al-GOR-ithm' a tiny fraction of my mental bandwidth is diverted from learning in order to suppress an internal giggle.
