how machine cycles and T states are comming 4,13..... and so on ?

I'm too late, but here's it - Opcode fetch takes 4T states, i.e. 1 machine cycle (MC) - Read operation takes 3T states, that's also 1 machine cycle (MC) - Write operation takes 3T states, that's also 1 machine cycle (MC) Now that depends on instructions, 1 byte instruction (operation only on internal registers): 4T states = 1 machine cycle (MC) 2 bytes instruction, load immediate: 1st opcode fetch: 4T states = 1 MC 2nd data load/read: 3T states = 1 MC (Add them: 7T states = 2 MC) 3 bytes instruction, store direct: [ STA ] 1st opcode fetch: 4T states = 1 MC 2nd address load/read (lower byte): 3T states = 1 MC 3rd address load/read (higher byte): 3T states = 1 MC 4th writing/storing (writing to memory): 3T states = 1 MC (Total: 13T states = 4 machine cycles) Just understand instruction, keep in mind only 1 byte of data transfer is possible once (in 1 machine cycle) & calculate.
