sir there are 4 types of fd (functional dependency)- 1. trivial fd 2.non-trivial fd 3.multiplevalued fd 4.transitive fd but in this lecture there are only 3 type of fd and transitive fd is most importance because without this we cannot perform normalization function in dbms.
