You mentioned the trade-off between synchronous and asynchronous replication. Could there be a hybrid approach that combines the two? For example, could we reduce the master’s responsibility by incorporating a quorum-based mechanism, where the master sends updates to the followers, but the followers take on the role of verifying consistency among themselves?

Hello, Thanks for your videos. One request btw. Could you please upload your presentation on drive or somewhere where we could access it?? it will save us trouble of making notes.

It’s not worthwhile for you. If you want a proper study guide, read “Designing Data Intensive Applications”. Most of the information in the videos comes from there anyway. The videos are meant to be bite sized chunks as opposed to fully fledged study resources

@@crackfaang ok but if I follow only your videos would that be enough for the interviews?? That book is has around 600 pages if i'm not wrong. 😅

@@crackfaang I have the same book, it's definitely not easy reading material. But it worth it! Thanks for giving us material in easier/lighter version!

No absolutely not. No 15 minute KZbin video will ever replace a full fledged study of systems design. The idea of this series is to make you aware of all the topics you need to know and break them down in easy to understand pieces so that you have a general understanding of what's going on. I will make a separate bonus video of my recommendations for extra resources to prepare for these interviews.
