Hi DataGyan, can you help in converting a call into a job for someone making a career transition from a non tech/engineering related background? If the person doesn not have a STEM degree but has portfolio & projects. Indian market seems to be inclined more on hiring someone having a quantitative degree like Engineering degree or statistics for entry level data analyst positions.

My point is, first see if your passion is data analysis. Don’t fall prey to marketing methodologies used by these institutions, who present this field as high paying job, there are many other fields that you may love and also has good money if it your passion Hope I am clear!

It was awesome but multiple times she used hindi word "matlab" instead of i mean, it reminds me when i was working as a recruiter and also i did this mistake in many of my interviews 😂 so i can relate too. I was laughing and remembering my own mistakes 😅 P.s. - it's not a negative feedback, i am only sharing the similar mistake i did 😅

Are you still in HR? Can you help in getting referred for a data analyst position if you know any? or if you know anyone who can help. Been out of job since long, struggled with some health problems. Now trying to get a remote role until I recover fully but without referrals seems difficult to get called for entry level positions.
