I love how students at your school don't mind that you're cosplaying. Where I live, if we cosplayed at school, we would have to call our parents to get a change of clothes. I'm happy that other school accept that there's otaku's or anime lovers. :) It's just over here where I live, if you like anime, you're called a weirdo, a loner, someone who doesn't have a life. Next year I start highschool, and I would love to cosplay. But, as I said earlier, it's against the rules. So that's the bad thing about living over here. -;-;

im in 5th grade when i hit middle school i dont care what they say im cosplaying. And i think you'r aloud to cosplay as long as you asked the princaple but i may be chased down

Thedirkaable When I started cosplaying, I checked my school's student handbook. Mine says that as long as the student can still be identified they can wear the costume. I'd check just in case. :)

I remember my first cosplay at my school :D I dressed up as Levi from AoT. The Levi fangirls hoarded me, I scared a lot of people with my glare and it was just an amazing experience. You're very lucky!!! People there know about anime and cosplaying and they don't think you're weird! In my country many people don't even know what anime is. And many people think that it is a cartoon... When I talk to my friends at school about any anime they'll say that I'm just a weirdo kid who still watches cartoons..... And since people here don't know about anime or cosplaying, we can't find any online shopping store. They don't know how awesome anime really is! Hmm For the skirt, I used a 'circle skirt method'. Then I made the shirt from a pattern of a shirt that I already have. For the apron, I used a singlet and trimmed the sides as a pattern. Then you do half a circle for the bottom. For the collar and cuffs, I cut it from a $2 shirt from a thrift shop ^^

The shirt and skirt is separate. For the skirt, I used the 'circle skirt' method and used white ribbon to make ruffles at the end of the skirt. For the shirt, it is zipped up in the middle and the pattern was based from a shirt I already have. The puffy sleeves I learnt how to make from a tutorial on google.. For the top of the apron, I used a pattern from a singlet I had and modified it. The bottom of the apron, Use half a circle instead of a dumb trapezium I made :'D. For the bows, tutorials can be searched up online~ If you have any questions please ask ^^

I live in the UK and I talk about cosplay and anime, cosplay when I'm at home or with friends and I went out ONCE and had to walk to the woods cosplaying as Aya to shoot the video (which is on my channel) and every single person we went past - on buses and cars or walking stared and laughed. I guess I'm quite lucky because many of my friends love anime. The only way I would ever cosplay in public from now on is with a group of friends who are also cosplaying or coming from a convention. Hey! I remember cosplaying as well in my school! Before this year, anime cosplay contests were never allowed and only literal characters But this year, My adviser answered my prayers and asked me to join the cosplay but I refused, then she said Video games and Anime are now allowed! I was so happy! Believe it or not, she gave me a discount for the entrance fee. It was November this year, I cosplayed Shino from Mysterious Forum! And with that, a stageplay November and December are the best years for me!
