Brute I personally think we gotta go back to players who are limited. This all-arounder stuff just leads to homogenous builds and you play essentially the same build 99% of the time regardless of the build name. I have a 80win% 65 3pt% playing on a 6’11 stretch with ABSOLUTELY NO DUNKING, as far from an all around build as you can get and I find it fun. However, everyone is not like that and wants to do anything and everything on their build like real life and it just doesn’t create healthy gameplay loops. Archetypes should come back in some fashion. I don’t mind having an attribute type build where you move a bar back and forth (the 2k community is full of people who just want to feel they’re in control of their build for whatever reason) but at this point if you want 90+ in 2 stats you should have mid 70s tops in everything else. The attribute allocation for builds needs to be brought down severely to force everyone to have a role

Long comment: I don't think we should limit people personally. Theres a ton of players who think the idea of being limited in the Mycareer aspect of the game kills any reason to play 2k. I agree that homogeneous gameplay loops can be boring and it can have a direct correlation with most builds on the game, but I think that will be the case whether you are limited or not. Just like in fighting games, people will always optimize certain moves, builds, or playstyles that will spread through the community. I think what separates them from those who are great at the game is the ability to accept your role on the team and excel in it. I'm pretty casual (50%+ win rate, 54% fg, 39% 3pt) and I don't tend to run with friends, but because my build does so many things well, I can fit on nearly any team and am capable of performing well in the role I'm needed. TL:DR: The community will always lean towards optimal builds and not to what their strengths are which I believe will always be the case. Limited or not
