Poor animals it breaks my heart to see such lovely creatures stuck in such small spaces, they are born to be free, please don't support Zoos by going there ! Would you like to live your whole life in one room? So sad😢

Joanna K Meg Lapensee not all zoos are bad, they are licensed to be conservation centres, many of these animals can’t live in the wild as they are extinct or endangered by poaching or habitat destruction. they don’t have the biggest spaces available due to lack of funding - you can’t endorse that they are terrible places as they are educating people, carrying conservation programmes and breeding programmes. many of these animals have been injured or are going extinct in the wild, these programmes try to help them survive. breeding programmes help to increase their numbers to eventually help them be able to survive in the wild.

emma bailey No no you've got it all wrong. The only thing that Zoos exist still today, is for the money because they bring buisness. Animals don't need for us to put them in the box they have the right to be free just like you and me. In nature when they get sick they just die, people are the ones that make them depressed, sick and use them for their own entertainment, just like we used to have circuses. I hope we will wake up one day and stop using them, eating them and killing them because those beings have the same right on earth to be free and live just like we do, and you and me are not the ones who decide who gets to live or where. The times have changed we can educate ourselves about animals differently without harming them. Go to the Zoo and look at their faces how sad they are, try to feel how would you like to be in one backyard every single day for the rest of your life, and see how sick and depressed some of them pace back and forth from one wall to the other? No Zoo is a happy place for the animals, wake up and try to see the reality and instead of standing up for what you have been brain washed, educate yourself on that topic and stand up for the animals because they don't have the voice but you do, so use it for the better.

Joanna K I understand your point, but in the wild because poaching and habitat destruction isn’t controlled, they’re dying out. They won’t be free, there’ll be a load of species that die out. Some zoos, not commercial zoos, education zoos such as ZSL London zoo, they try to provide as much as they can to keep animals in a habitat like their own. Understandably zoos could do better, and some shouldn’t exist for entertainment, but trying to provide an environment to help increase the count of them means that they can eventually release them - they are far better than killing them off by destroying their homes and killing them by hunting.

I’m talking more about species which are extinct or endangered rather than those that are used for entertainment purposes - I agree with banning the entertainment yet not ALL zoos are like this. If human activity is causing certain species to be killed off, surely trying to replenish lives through conservation programmes is an attempt to help give back.

Taronga Zoo is run by the Taronga Conservation Society - a government run conservation society that operates the Zoo as part of broader conservation and research initiatives that are some of the best in the world. Speak to any of the volunteers or zoologists there - animals and their protection are their passion and not for profit zoos like Taronga exist to help better the future of threatened species or provide a safe place for injured animals to live. Yes it would be great if all animals could live happily in the wild but unfortunately because of our own doing, zoos like Taronga give many animals the best chance of survival and a happy life.

Hi Sammy! A few years ago I also got burned with a motorcycle and had a mark exactly like that one and they’re actually very dangerous burns to get. Make sure you apply some cream or balm (ask a pharmacist) to heal it. I still have mine and although it has faded away, is still there (kinda looks like a birthmark). Hi Sammy, This may be on the paranoid side, and I'm not your bodyguard, but for safety reasons, I wouldn't reveal the location and dates of your trips. The information not only exposes you at the travel location, but also leaves your home vulnerable, knowing there will be no one there. Just a lot of strange people out there, and with your following growing, you never know. Obviously meet and greets are different because you need to let your fans know where to be, but also because it's a public location and with a crowd of people. Vacations are an intimate destination with close friends, so it's easier to target. Sorry if this is like lecturing, it's simply a piece of advise.
