I just went through a break up about an hour ago. I have this protective mechanism where I just shut down every feeling I had for the person, regardless of how much I loved them and I really loved him but I feel Ok. I thought he would be the one for me but I guess I was wrong. He isn't a bad person at all, he just has a hard time being vulnerable and showing his emotions and I think this is what ended US. I will be alright all I want to do right now is work on myself and be better to welcome the one who's for me. I don't want to make any more mistakes

Forgot to mention I'm a virgin and one thing that I appreciated about him was the fact that he respected that and although he wasn't a virgin he had lived (as in, he slept with a few people before we met🙃 so he was very experienced) he matured enough to the point where he wanted a wife. Someone who wanted sex only after marriage which was music to my ears, even when we were close to doing it he stopped it because he respected me enough to not allow me to make a decision in the heat of a moment, he admitted that he was tempted to just say fuck it and do it because he was very attracted to me, he was turned on every time we hung out but his respect for me prevented him from listening to his needs as a man. He is AMAZING I never thought I'd ever meet a man like him. thought I would have had to convince someone to wait but I felt so blessed that I met him. We talked about the future and he told me that he thinks about different ways he would propose to me and he definitely saw us getting married in the future. I'm a pisces he's a cancer. We thought we were soulmates, he's everything I've ever dreamed of my man to be like but unfortunate, you can't always have what you want or things do not always happen the way you want them to. Was trying to avoid thinking about the positives sides of him because it makes me miss him more but whatever

This is such a great book but I think the biggest thing of all is always trust your intuition. Ladies! Your gut feeling is always right about a man 💯%
@wendeln925 жыл бұрын
I recently heard comedian say something like, "I think women's intuition is a lie, it doesn't exist (listen to all the women in the audience boo), then he says, "If you have intuition, how come it took so long for you to figure out that I'm an asshole?" You could also say the same things about women, men need to listen to their gut before getting involved with some psycho who is only after his wallet, use you gut and think with the head that is on top of your shoulders. Be very aware of what her intentions for you are. Is she only using you or is she really interested in knowing you and developing something, well at least for a while anyway. My first instinct is ALWAYS, OK, what the hell does she want out of me? See ladies, it works both ways., great huh?

My now husband started taking care of me from day one! We met in college right at the end of the year. During the summer I was in NJ and he was in Canada. He let me know right away that he was interested in me and was not playing around. He wanted a girlfriend. Throughout the whole summer we called each other and talked ON THE PHONE. We decided to start being serious with each other on July 9th. soon after, he sent me flowers just because. Then for my birthday on July 30th he sent me Roses and a teddy bear. Then at some other point he sent me an amazon gift card so that I could buy stuff I wanted. It wasn't much bc we were in college but it was the thought that mattered. We have been married for 13 years, together for 15 and have two kids. We are actually better today than we were back in college!

im 58yrs old. the best advice i can give ladies on dating is this: how a man talks about and treats his mother will tell you everything you need to know. if he disrespects the first woman in his life,the one who gave him life,then thats how hes going to treat all the other women in his life. if possible,watch and listen to him when hes around his mama. dont tell him what youre doing cause he can be faking it to impress you. good luck. i wish someone had told me this when i first started dating.

I can comfirm almost every thing this man said. I do wish he also mentioned that men should also have higher standards as well. I've seen too many men and women set their standards too low.
@don86685 жыл бұрын
That never gets addressed by him. Men all too often get caught up in a woman's physical features. More often that not, that is the only good thing these women bring to any relationship. Women can get caught up in physical looks but they are usually attracted to status or a strong personality--without giving the slightest thought to character because they see good men as boring.
@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr28235 жыл бұрын
Look beyond. I know a guy dating a cute girl, but KNOWN and ADMITTED as well as ACTIVE drug addict!! Yeah, cute isn't everything. Hope he doesn't get AIDS or something. Drug addicts are not picky about who they whore around with.
