I really hate how much a guy having boundaries is considered “controlling and narcissistic” in society. That being said I’m gonna have boundaries anyway 😂
@Jacob0118 ай бұрын
... that's because the society is controlling and narcissistic.

Yeah these talks about ur boundaries and ur values must be discussed before going in for a relationship. If you are bending ur own values and gut instinct for a girl ur not man

As a woman, I was curious to watch this video. And honestly, this is so refreshing to hear. A masculine man truly allows women to rest in their feminine energy. It's gold. This is so important for women who actually want to be women; for those who disagree with feminist culture and actually value the balance and purpose the masculine and the feminine energy brings. At the end of the day, it's best to have the courage to be honest. Because not only are you being honest with the other person, you are being honest with yourself. I felt encouraged to hear this and hope that more men can resonate with your message and pursue that path. It very respectable. And yes, it is definitely, way more attractive to the right kind of gal!

I’m a new subscriber and honestly I really really needed this. I’ve also come to realize that pleasing your girlfriend can also lead to one’s self-esteem get lower. I was actually going through the problem you mentioned in the beginning of the video and now I’m more motivated and feel free to truly be myself. Thank you, Matt. Finding your channel has truly been a blessing!

Hey Matt Spear, thanks for sharing this video! I, a woman, have been leading my household for far too long, and I’m sick and tired of it. I sent this video to 5 men to see if anyone would unapologetically lead me and now I have 5 husbands who lead my house! Rock on Matty!

I really like how you get straight to the point without talking like an hour first, you just say whats facts. I follow you for a few months now and you helped me, even when I sometimes somewhat disagree with what your saying. thanks bro

I have definitely seen myself in the "women pleaser role" and I never realized why it pushed so many women away. Over the past few months I have done some self reflection and realized that trying so hard to please others is too much of a burden on my soul, drains my energy and is not fun. This is great advice. Once you get good at decision making and prioritizing yourself, it feels so much more fulfilling.

Absolutely true man. You have to strike that balance between being stern and being sincere. You can be stern in your beliefs without being controlling and bossy. I’ll speak my opinion and disagree with her but she’s still free to do whatever she wants. She’s her own person and her actions will speak for itself. The same should apply on her end for me as well.

8:40 I totally agree with the point that a truly authentic man should show his true self, opinions and boundaries. I wonder, isn't the same true for any woman out there? In my lifetime, I perceived men being unauthentic and not showing their true self, because as you said there is a lot of anxiety involved. In some people there are other factors as well involved, like CPTSD or other conditions. But I feel the same is true for women as well. I observed them as being even more insecure and anxious than men are and therefore also hold back a lot of their true and authentic self. Shouldn't we all become more authentic and setting clear boundaries? It's just healthy.

That Q&A video where you said, ¨we get married in probably 2 years¨. I feel you should't have said that, it put maybe bad vibe for the girl, kinda risk for interest loss. You could for example have said ¨probably any time soon¨ or or ¨maybe in a year, or in a day, or in a month, or someday¨ to put like a little exitement for the girl. I think that would be better. But hey man, your love life, your buissnes, i just shared my thoughts. Wish you al the best 💪

I feel like verbally saying out loud to a partner if you do that then I will leave is a little toxic though no?
@roman_kofyno8 ай бұрын
It´s called boundaries and self-respect. Stop using word "toxic" willy-nilly like you understand it, it´s buzzword nowdays, like people don´t know real and deep meaning of words, overusing them, gee... No, it´s not toxic, duh.
@stevelubs8 ай бұрын
@@roman_kofyno I don’t see verbally saying that I’m going to end the relationship over something that’s not extremely drastic like cheating or stealing something. To me that’s not a boundary, it’s super disrespectful and way deeper than it needs to be.
