Greetings, I am Dominican (SD) and I have been reading the comments and they have generalized that all Dominicans are the same and that is not the case, because I suppose all American women are not the same, however they prefer a Latina and more than Dominican Republic because they are less macho and do not believe they are royal princesses like the ones there, as in all countries of the world there are good and bad women, but speaking in generic terms is not appropriate.

i am in the DR a lot and have a spot there in SD and seen and experienced a lot. Ronin is right, the strength of the relation is key, one year is not enough time. that applies to any woman you are getting serious with. he needs to spend time there for himself, open a bank account, look in getting or renting a place and explore and be around her and her family and experience situations to see what she is like before making the decision also if she is giving him a ultimatum its time to rethink his options because she believes she has him and would not expect him to leave. there are many other good women there in DR that work hard, respectful, good family values with cooperation and will match his vibe and not pressure him. he should ask her would she sign a prenup and see what she says because if he brings her here then he has the court system in the states that favors women if things go south.
