"Dating in the Kitchen" is a super, super amazing drama! It took my heart right from the first episode! Even the cooking food scenes were enjoyable to watch (usually I hate them) not mentioning Lin Yushen tasting and eating (acting skills super amazing, he just pinned it) the food cooked by Rose Zhao! I watched it several times already bcz there is a little bit of everything: a little bit of farce and comedy for your mind, comical as well as scary moments for your heart, and amazing romance development for your soul. Rose Zhao and Lin Yushen are perfect together in this drama, I should say it's their best.

The writers messed up Gu Shengnan's character in the last few episodes. She is supposed to be young and naive (that's understandable). That is the source of the conflict between age-gap lovers. But the writers instead made her act as if she wasn't thinking at all, stupid and careless.

The lead male Actor was the only character I really enjoyed. The girl Chef was spotty & the rest just okay. Drama overall was not one I would suggest to someone. The male Actor was awesome!

You do know it's a remake right and the original girl was even more dumb lol just saying. I don't think she's dumb here tho it's more of she's naieve and her brother in law used her then Lu Jin used that. She's a free spirit and that's what he loved and lacked in himself. His childhood was a cold hard one where he had to grow up quickly and her's was filled with love and shelter, it's why they work so well. But meh to each their own I suppose.
