Crazy to stumble upon this video. I just returned from my first 10 day visit to Thailand. I stayed a few nights at the Mercure in Sukhumvit 11 which you drove past at 11:30 in this vid.

Soi 11 is probably one of the best soi’s to stay in Sukhumvit, as it’s close to everything. If you want a little more cheaper Hotel next time, stay at the Salil Hotel, opposite the Mercure on soi 11 . My preferred place to stay.

Most tourists end up in Sukhumvit / nana , there are plenty of 5 star hotels / serviced apartments nearby. Grand Centre Point on Sukhumvit Rd or the a grand Mercure Hotel on soi11. Further down the rd, Thonglor is pretty trendy.

The scams and skulduggery by the girls if we're being honest is half the fun, id say some of the most memorable laughs ive had in thailand are sussing out what games their playing. Hi Peter you have a very good point on retirement income. If you retire too early not only is the pay check gone you have so much free time to spend your money. When your working there is 50 hours a week where you do not spend much. Now all that time needs money to make you entertained. I had a friend retire too early ran thru most his money in 5 years, now he works at a big box store, because here in the usa no one is hiring a 60 year old with a 7 year career gap.

Hi Peter ... I have travelled in SEA for 20 years + and have never seen Arabic clad gentlemen ever ... yes the Arab ladies will sometimes wear their burka ... even in Manila there are many Arabs there for business and a few bars like Dandasha cater exclusively for middle eastern guys ... on your extensive travels have you seen Arabs in thobe and gutrah dress ... i find that guy in the 1st story hard some what hard to believe 🤔 ... i worked in the middle east for 22 years and their usual habit is NOT to wear traditional clothing when in SEA ... thanks

I only ever carry my card and the cash I can afford to spend for the day/night. But I do not go with bar girls. There is no need. There are many beautiful girls that do not require payment except to pay for food/drinks/accommodation

LAST STORY. Frank should move to Belgium straight across the border. Sign a living to gether contract with his girlfriend and she can come to Europe. That is all according european LAW. I did the same with my Brasilian wife. Married her and she could straight come to me in Germany where I Iive as a Dutch guy live 4 km across the border. Only difference between germany and Belgium is that you need to be married in Germany as a EU civilian.
