I was practicing abstinence for 5 years. Then I met a guy and never asked for discernment and ended up with the worst nightmare/heartbreak of my life. I felt like a wasted those years but God is a restorer. No longer will I date without a purpose and I will continue to ask God for grace to move forward.

I love this!!!!!! 1000% I'm a 22 year single woman, recent college grad who is currently pursuing professional certifications. I won't lie at one point I think it was focused on marriage marriage marriage. And I think it showed in my relationship with my boyfriend and one night while spending time with God I had to ask myself, why am I so rushy? Am I prepared to wake up to make breakfast or get out of bed when I'm super comfortable to make that man a sandwich? What really got me to "pump my brakes" is thinking about bills. Not to say my future husband won't cook and make dinner sometimes but in comparison to me being on my own right now I can choose to skip a meal if I'm too lazy or don't feel like going to the stove. I also enjoy living in my mom's house for almost free. I almost cried watching this. I feel like I still need to do some work on me. I am in a relationship that I feel will lead to marriage but sadly I believe that at the time I met him I fell into the category of the girl who had and has all of these expectations for my man that I'm not living up to. I also now after watching this video, want to postpone the time I want to get married in the future. I used to want to get married in my early 20's (I am now 20 going on 21) but I feel that in a few years I may not be ready to walk in marriage. I need to learn me more and build an empire for myself because I don't want to end up in a marriage where I'm ONLY building on what he has made for himself. I too want to bring something tangible to the table, and more so for my future children so they understand that it's important to achieve your dreams and goals. Marriage is beautiful but it's work and I see now that I have to get into the habit of sowing work into my life so that I will be able to do that when I am ready for marriage. Thank you so much for this video. Tammy and Carrington you guys are awesome women of God and I appreciate your honesty in this interview. This was truly an inspirational video.

Awesome session, the message of redemption came through and the fact that it is never to late to begin to do the right thing. Being prepared in and out of seasons also came through strongly. I heard someone say before if Noah waited to build the ark right when the rain started falling, he too would have being destroyed in the flood. The last take away was knowing your worth and the training up your child in the way they should go principle. I remember before we started school my mom giving us examples of the approaches we would get from boys and how to respond to their advances. This was such a blessing to me and my sisters in our lives. She had 3 daughters and didn't want us to become a statistic like the other girls in our neighborhood.

Thank you Ashley for this interview. It was very good! This mother and daughter are so fortunate to have the relationship that they have. Tammy is so genuine and her wisdom is infectious and relative. Past dysfunction had not enabled me to possess such wisdom and connection with my daughter; which in turn led to bad choices (on both our parts) that has made 'happiness' a constant searching instead of a welcome evolution or spiritual journey. But happiness, though not non and void, we still pursue love with more thought and principle at the helm.

This segment was very inspiring. I was married and divorced, but now celebate for 7 years and I'm going to do it God's way until I get married because I want God's best for me. While waiting, I went back to school and got my degree in business, purchased two properties that are now rentals, and working to purchase my third home, received a leadership certification at work and working towards my life coach certification and involved in the Lifebuilders Ministry at my church. Ladies, I encourage you to wait on God to bring you your mate and while you're waiting, focus on your life goals and what you want to accomplish so when the right person comes along he will find you to be a prize. Go do you! God bless you all.

This was amazing, loved the open and honest dialogue from Mrs. Franklin and Carrington. It's great to hear Christians that truly believe there are second (3rd, 4th, 5th etc) chances and there is space to start over again.

Ashley Empowers thank you so much for this interview, God is blessing you for being obedient.. there are so many young women who dream about getting married and yet feel discouraged BC guys are not attracted to virgin women or that is what they perceive... it is hard out here to date and be a "good girl".. but Anyways I will get off of my soapbox and just say thank you

Who told you guys r not attracted to virgins? Most of them r just intimidated by virgins. Virgins girls, I say stand strong n continue in your journey. You well never regret it. Not I saying so. God said so.

Good Evening Ashley, this was an awesome interview. It's been a minute I so enjoyed this one. Enjoyed hearing him speak of her at a concert and I see why. Her and her daughter are two beautiful souls. Thanks for this one lady! 😉

I love this family, I first encountered Kirk Franklin as a teenager and his music healed me a lot and from then, I just researched his family and they’ve been a great example for me. I love you guys 🖤❤️😭 Thank you for sharing such wisdom and thank you so much for always honesty opening up to us. God bless.
