In my younger days, I may have saw castnest being used a couple of times, but it is amazing how much I see them being used today. People all over South Louisiana are making great catches today with cast nets. I mean, you don't kill them like trawling, but you can catch enough to do some great fishing, or have a modest amount at home for eating. Great video, thank you. Be safe, and God bless.

@geroldknoebel3836 Жыл бұрын
In summer we have 80 - 95°F. If it is dry heat, it is nice, but too high humidity and warm, is nasty here. Laugh, I know from previous jog also really hot temperatures, in Tehran I experienced over 125°F, in Singapore not better, very hard in Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea in Janbu, when the wind came over the sea from Africa, was hell. And young years, for almost 50 umpteen years, 7 years paratrooper, also been on the road a lot where it was very warm. All nothing new. Only here, now the wet cold weather, is disgusting, notice it in the bones, one became old nevertheless. Have a nice week and don't let the alligators nibble at you. another very wonderful video. sorry Tara, Drake and Andy couldn't make it. I was showing this guy how to cast net over at marsh island, near Cypremort point. he had a very light net and small net and when I casted with his net, I caught about 3-4 or so bait fish per cast. later, I decided to cast net with my net which is 8' and has very very heavy weights at the end. (wears out my back). I caught at least 25-35 bait fish each cast, same place. its cause the weight is so heavy, the fish can't escape. I think your larger net had heavy weights on it, but if it doesn't may wanna switch to a net with very heavy weights... thank you for your video.
@datlouisianalife Жыл бұрын
I actually have several nets. I have a 7' with very heavy weights but it doesn't take long to wear my shoulder out. I think the heavy weights work well for bait fish. I don't find when the shrimp are on the bottom that the weight makes that big of a difference. I usually throw a 6' just to save my shoulder and I have more fun with it. Appreciate you buddy!
@bbulliard Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the cast net tip. I was only catching bait fish not shrimp. My other net is lighter and easier on my back so I’ll remember what you said. Each time you fish or cast net it’s a lot of fun to watch..thank you
