In HoN trilanes were a thing or dual mid but more prevalent was a „suicide lane“ where youd send a hero who can survive 2v1 or 2+jungler v1. That hero would be useful with levels and minimal items.

was in a similar game yesterday as axe. It was very rough for our team. To make matters worse we had a jungler. Which actually saved our game in the end as we had way too much once we hit minute 35. Although we had lost 2 sides but i had created so much space that our 2 carries (safelane and jungle) were finally online.

Dota been alive so long we're getting re-dos of ancient tactics and strats. This is just the ol roaming trilane. Sven, venge, leoric, tiny, or any insta stun hero going around forcing the enemy team to either constantly die or play super scared. The number of comeback mechanics kinda render a lot of old styles irrelevant though. I miss the days of going all in on my early game and winning just by ruining my opponent's game and making it so that it's actually impossible for them to play the game. The old patches allowed you to have 3-4 stat items, ward/map control, a mid hero like QoP/tinker/tiny and just shut down 1 or 2 enemy players. Like, you could force up TWO whole players to have to sit through a horrible game of just insta dying or their ranked gaming client would penalize them heavily or ban them for a while. I loved that era. Sucks when it happened to you but it was worth it to do it to someone else lol.
