@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
+j d I sure do hope so. The coilovers I'm using are from Techno Toy Tuning. They're excellent quality parts.

Did Classic Tube have all the brake lines( total complete set) or did you have to purchase additional hard lines?
@PanchosGarage4 жыл бұрын
They had all of them in the kit.

looking for clips and insulators for my 280z. can't find them anywhere? would early 240z clips and insulators work for the later s30? wondering if you could help with my troubles?
@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
+Dylan H I'm not sure on parts compatibility. You should join the Facebook group Datsun Parts and Needs. We have about 29k members, I'm sure if you ask on there they'll have the answer. Also, you might be able to find someone who might have a few that they're willing to part with. Good luck!

hey man just watched your whole build process tonight. good work, you sound like you know a lot. im looking into getting a Z for myself. quick question, what motor are you planning on putting in it. it would be sweet to see a monster in that thing like an ls3 or and lt1.
@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
+zack I'm keeping a 6 cylinder inline Nissan engine in there.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one that had issues with the ss brake & fuel lines.....but still better I feel than bending yourself. Picture a middle aged man flopping on his back like a beached whale putting those lines in (no lift, only jack stands)...you get the picture!

+Rob Werner yeah. It's one of those things you only have to do once then they're good for another 40+ years.

Rob Werner hi how ru ..from where do you buy rubber bracket for the brake lines
@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
www.240zrubberparts.com/ they are expensive and don't 100% fit as they should. I'm in talks with another vendor at the moment to see if they can make something better and or cheaper.

Been enjoying your build. I have been working on what was my dad's '71 240Z and noticed that you're installing new brake line holders on the fire wall. Where did you get those as I haven't been able to find any? Much appreciated!
@PanchosGarage6 жыл бұрын
If you're keeping them stock, the 240z rubber parts dot com site has em (they're pricey) you can also 3d print them 😉
@Simplebizsupport6 жыл бұрын
Francisco Gutierrez thought about 3D printing, but mine are shot and not worth copying. Know anyone selling 3D printed ones by chance? Thanks man!
@PanchosGarage6 жыл бұрын
Simple Biz Support I don't know of anyone in particular. But once you get the files, there are tons of services out there that'll print for you. Search 240z on grabcad and thingverse to find the files. I forget which site has em.

11mm is the same size as a 7/16
@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
+Guicho Reyes not quite. It's slightly larger than 11mm. Also the 11mm flared nut wrench is "rare" compared to the 7/16.

Thanks for making the video of the brake line install. I removed all my brake lines and fuel lines on my Z. So I will have to do an install like yours soon. Did you have any issues with bolts breaking off inside when removing the original lines? If so how did you go about dealing with the drill out? Great video! Keep them coming! Subscribe to me, I'm also making video with my 240z build.
@PanchosGarage7 жыл бұрын
Subbed! The only issue I had was with having to remove undercoating from the screw area. I was lucky that I had no screws break on me.
@Perfect240Z7 жыл бұрын
Francisco Gutierrez yea i think i had a few from what I remember. I had a few break on me. I wish i had a lift like you. I'm on jack stands but I'm going to build a dolly that's higher up soon.
