Datsun 4 Link and Engine Install! MINI TRUCKIN!!!

Welcome Back! Its Mini Truckin Week! Today we are back on the Datsun Mini Truck! We’ve had a blast so far working on this Datsun. This started out as a untouched truck that needed some attention. So we gave it plenty. A lot has happened so far. Getting it laying on the rockers and getting rid of that roof! Who needs a roof anyway??
Today we bring the truck back from filming on CarFix and we button up a few things we started on that episode. Like our ride tech 4 triangulated 4 link.
We also fit the GM Ecotec engine in the Datsun to determine where its going to live so we can start making mounts. A lot of metal fab to go on this one.

In high school in 1979 I had a 1970 Datsun pickup, had a short block Chevy motor, Hurst transmission, Holly carb. Front was lowered with smaller tires and the back was lifted with huge, wide tires, we called it Surfer Style. Diamond tuck dash and black leather bench seat completed the look. I sold it to a friend after graduation in 1981 and bought a FIAT 128 Rally and then in 1983 sold that and bought a Mustang GT.
