I disagree. The majority of his goals are good powerful shots, but the ones that get shown over and over are breakaway goals because they're almost always more fancy. Not the most powerful shot in the league, but it's definitely not weak.

Yeah I can understand that. The problem is they will never think they're wrong. I just think that they comment as such to get a reaction, and if they didn't get one they may get bored and hopefully change. (Wishful thinking I know). Another part of me commends you LOL. AWESOME! Im a canucks fan and I am just marvelled by this guy. Datsyuk is by far one of the greatest players of all time, I can't even explain why or how. He makes everything look easy, its as if defensemen are just pylons.

agreed. I think he has been since as early as 2007. Since the 04-05 lockout he is way over a point per game scorer and a 6 time selke nominee and 3 time winner. Definitely the best all around player

I think he's a tremendous goalie - If you look at his statistics they are pretty stellar actually. He got a bad wrap for his "pumping his tires" comment followed by getting outplayed by Thomas, but I find it funny when people say he was a terrible goalie when he led his team to game 7 of the stanley cup finals, and a year prior he backstopped Team Canada to Olympic gold.

Well, definitely PHX game in 04-16-2011. Theres one highlight for that already but Im sure its just the most noticeable plays. Your highlights are more detailed and educational (in a way). He also had a monster away game, I think it was Game 5 of that series. More suggestions maybe later. That much I will agree with - knowing that a someone is coming in close on you forces you to hurry your move. I just rewatched it and Kronny had been out there for 1.5 mins. Although Datsyuk had been out there almost just as long at 1.1 mins. Kronwall did give up thought you're right. But his momentum was affected by the fact he caught an edge upon missing the bouncing puck

@marty uribe @Brendan Brown I think you must be biased to say 'Datsyuk over Crosby', and I'm a huge Datsyuk and Red Wings fan. Don't get me wrong, Pavel is amazing - magic hands, great vision and creativity, as well as smarts and work ethic. But if you're going to compare him to Crosby, well... Crosby has all that, but he also has a great shot and MVP quality play in the playoffs, while Pavel had an average shot at best and wasn't the most prominent in big games for the Red Wings (I'm not saying he was bad in the playoffs - far from it). Crosby is without doubt the better offensive player, while Datsyuk is better defensively, but Crosby has narrowed that gap over the years, playing responsibly in both ends. Still, this video is great testament to what a special player Datsyuk is. Few others in the history of the game could make a 8 minute highlight reel from one single game. No other player plays the game quite like he does, and I wonder if we'll ever see anyone like him again.

Not sure if you are arguing semantics or not. To me, owning means dominating the team via puck control and overall deception. Every time he touched the puck, he was dangerous...and in my books skating around people is owning them, seeing as the point of the game is to skate around players en route to scoring goals. I think you might just have a different definition of the word "owning" lol

I would take datsyuk for 7.5mil in my team anyday. Even at his age he is still one of the most talented player in the nhl and is (in my opinion) the best defensive forward of the league.
