MIN YASMIN is an International singer who was born in Johor, Malaysia. A daughter of a Singaporean father, she is known as the Peace Ambassador for her multilingual songs. For being a multilingual singer, she also became known to the public as 'The Famous Tausug Songstress.'
As a powerful and soulful Malaysian R&B singer, she received two awards in Manila, Philippines, in November 2015. She was awarded Outstanding Asian Singer 2015 and chosen as Music Ambassador 2015 by the Gawad Sulo Ng Bayan Awards.
In October 2015, her first ever album collaboration, entitled '2 Voices, with Philippine Singer Nikki Bacolod was successfully launched. Their hit single, 'Sa Iyo,' was on the Top-10 Chart for three months at LOVE Radio and YES FM in the Philippines.
She became better known as a Malaysian Soundtrack Singer as her songs were used for so many OSTs, teleseries, and Movies in Malaysia.
She is Min Yasmin, an ambitious International Singer from Malaysia under the JULFEKAR Music record label owned by Julfekar, a well-known Songwriter, Record Label producer, and award-Winning composer and Producer in Malaysia, while serving as the Managing Director of MillenniumArt and Julfekar Music Malaysia Record Label.
In 2016, she was involved in the album 'LANGAN ATAY' in the Philippines. This was a TAUSUG album that consists of nine tracks in which singers like Julfekar, Nikki Bacolod, Diya, and Eima are involved.
One of their songs on the album, 'Tibuuka Na, written by Nelson Dino, has gone viral among many people, especially in ZamBaSulTa areas in the South of the Philippines, where she had the opportunity to hold a promotion tour to the islands there.
In February 2017, she was involved in the Langan Atay Concert held for two consecutive days with other artists involved in the album 'Langan Atay'. Then, in August 2017, Min Yasmin held a very encouraging and successful concert in Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi, Philippines.
A follow-up album for her was released in March 2018 at the Manila Polo Club in the Philippines. The press conference went smoothly and successfully until it became trending at Bandila News ABS-CBN. The International debut Solo album known as 'PANGARAP' is composed of 14 songs, mainly written in Tagalog. Her other songs are rendered as Tausug and Sama Bajau, in addition to a couple of English and Malay songs.
To seal the success of the album, Julfekar, as producer, collaborated with the Philippines’ top hitmaker and producer, Vehnee Saturno, to produce a powerful version and arrangement of the hits ‘Bakit Pa’ and ‘Kahit Konting Awa,’ while Min Yasmin's other Tagalog songs were a product of Julfekar's collaboration with Filipino lyricist Roosevelt ‘Raz’ Itum for the Tagalog songs. The album was released in both Malaysia and the Philippines.
On January 12, 2019, she celebrated the New Year with the 'Min Yasmin Made in Asia Live Concert' at Zamboanga City Coliseum, Philippines. At the same time, she launched her fourth Philippine album, called 'Kasilasa Min Yasmin & Julfekar,' which comes with 18 Tausug songs.
On January 20, 2022, Min Yasmin launched her Exclusive Malay Album, ‘Min Yasmin World on a String,' with 18 songs that were composed and produced by Julfekar, followed by her solo tour concert all over Sabah, starting with ‘Min Yasmin LIVE IN SANDAKAN’ in August 2022.
