Lawrys Restaurant tk Halal, but the steak itself is Halal Certified as per restaurant manager.. Maybe its not halal due to the wines..

Farah Hussain Lawrys restaurant serves pork ribs using the same set of plates n cutlery? Steak halal certified, but the other ingredients used such as the sauce etc? Singapore has alot of halal certified restaurant yang menjamin 100% halal utk setiap hidangan makanan. Kenapa masih pergi ke retaurant yg tak halal?

Lawrys sg is using halal certified meat and they cook their meat in a custom made silver wagon solely created for the meat. The sauces is merely a vegetarian sauce which consists of black pepper, cream, butter. Lawrys provide a high end environment with different types of dining rooms for special functions for a more private dining experience. About ur cutleries tu, hwve u heard of sabon pinggan mangkuk yang digunakkan untuk sertu?

Firdaus Karim sure.. i hv heard of sabun sertu n i hv used it before too. But the question is, did the restaurant carry out the sertu process for dinner that night? Sure, the meat is cooked on some special cooking equipment, but how about the ladle or other cooking utensils? As Jakim and Muis always say, halal is not just about ingredient but also the issue of cross contamination. Hv u heard abt it? Unless there is a dedicated muslim kitchen, where all utensils, cutlery n ingredients checked and controlled by muslim representative, provided in a restaurant or an establishment, then can you ensure cross contamination is minimised. But then again, its a personal choice to be strict or to succumb to society. Just to avoid being crowded by fans, then decided to relax on islamic rules is datuk seri's PERSONAL CHOICE. But as a celebrity, by posting that she ate at lawrys, may gave false impression that it is a halal establishment to her muslim fans. That may cause confusion and may lead to many muslims (esp non-sg) eating there. Your post too seems to suggest that its halal. Thats not the case and hence the reason why i am clarifying it here.
