It always shocks me how people see partners as something they can own, like an object, like a toy which has no feelings or her/his own mind and needs.. why no one sings about the love triangle from other perspectives? People are not objects that you could tell someone to take their hands off and live life together like the ‘objects’ feelings wouldn’t mater to you. That’s not love. Love is unconditional and kind, if my partner choose to leave me for someone he fell in love with I would let him go because I love him and want him to be happy with or without me.. otherwise it’s just selfishness.. isn’t it?

It's so mesmerizing how music cooperates with lyrics in this song. First it's a background for her story. Then it slightly reveals her pain and continues to express her story. At part "Did she make your heart beat faster then I could" it goes faster just like this heart beat, and it cumulates and cumulates till it breaks with that noise which in my opinion is kinda reflection to her pain, she can't resist it no more while telling about it. Finally we can only hear sth like gun shots cuz emotion has been revealed and now she is suffering peacefully.

this song is breathtaking. i know it's an overused word but it's simply stunning. i was lucky enough to see them perform live; i had goosebumps the entire song. the room was so quiet, you could almost hear a pin drop. i looked around and saw tears in some people's eyes, just a fantastic performance. so glad music like this can bring people together :)

My friend told me about Daughter like 2 weeks ago and ever since then Daughter is all ive been listening to. When my best friend died, I listened to this song and many of Daughter's songs. And I cried. A lot. Her music is therapeutic to me as a depressed person with mental issues. It doesn't pull me down or worsen my depression. If anything, it helps me feel better.
