Like you actually take from the canon story, and as someone who has studied this series (and I mean the entire 62 songs in evillious chronicles) I appreciate the accuracy. (I ramble now) Also I’m just fixated on the thorns on Allen as Riliane. Along with Allen getting entangled in Riliane’s “evil flowers” I also like how it (I hope this won’t offend anyone, sorry to get very religion) references Jesus and the crown of thorns as in the story Allen is kinda a reference to Jesus, executed at 3:00, died for someone else’s sins, is reborn, comes back as a spirit to his allies, the crown of thorns was a way of mocking Jesus for claiming he had authority and Allen pretending to be the princess, aka authority and also actually being a prince himself. Sorry for rant oops

Oh, I thought I commented before... anyways... I really like the style, as many people already have said. It reminds me of a fairy tale, which DoE is. Also there's this repeating pattern of Yellow, Green, Red, and Blue, like the novels. (I think Re_Birthday had that pattern too?). Also seeing Leonhart's death (even though Allen killed him, not the guillotine.) was pretty cool. These translyrics are really nice too. Bit nitpicky but Riliane never called herself "queen" out of respect from her late mother.

How you can tell it's Len and not Rin getting executed/captured is because the flower is on the side where the bangs are pointed towards and Allen's points to the left while Riliane's is pointed right

Wow... I don't know what to say but... This is a beautiful PV; it is easily is better than the official and remastered version by Mario GaGabriel. If Mothy was to hire someone to remake the PVs of all the songs, hope it would be this person as their mixture of cuteness and horror elements in this PV whilst not overwhelming the was amazing. Also, I love how it is almost like it is a storybook rendition of the events which makes sense from the stories context, as the daughter of evil is meant to be from the citizens POV while the servant of evil is from Allen's standpoint, I believe that this is also shown during the parts in video where the art style change as it could be showing a children's storybook of the events or even a history book recalling her life. Sorry for gushing about this amazing PV, anyway that was my ted talk.

I've also heard people compare it to paper mario which I've never played but I get the comparison

You know what's so fucking sad about this? If Allen hadn't sacrificed his life to "save" Riliane, she could've been exorcised (because, as Sin contractors cannot be killed by ordinary means, they would've realized she was possessed the moment they tried) and Lucifenia would've lived on at least for some time. Allen, of course, didn't know this and assumed Riliane was just cruel. But when you know this, it really makes it sadder.

@@Akiolla TBH, I don't think mothy had planned that far ahead, but with later information from other songs... Yeah, it's basically implied canon. But I suppose if they had, they would've known Riliane and Allen's reincarnations were central to the plot and it would've been done anyway. Either that, or Allen would've died anyway some other way, he just wouldn't have had to make a sacrifice that arguably was the worse option if not useless to a degree.

Ohhhh this is so pretty, it's like a storybook! Though a slight nitpick is in the lyrics, we the audience who have probably seen these songs a million bajillion times know who the executed queen is, but with the story context and assuming someone has never heard the song before in their life, using they/them just sounds slightly clunky when the queen has only used she/her up until that point. Of course we can understand with the context clues and Regret Message with those lyrics, but I feel it somewhat disturbs the flow.
