Maitreyee u r absolutely right in two points ..everyone should know their mother tongue. Unfortunately born and brought up in Mumbai...we spoke only in English. My mother spoke in fluent Portuguese to her family and in Konkani with my dad's family. I understand but can't talk in Konkani. Secondly a child should not be told don't do this and don't do that. Till my daughter was in tenth I was like a monster...but now I have realised... a little late but better late than never. I allow her the freedom to choose what she likes and wants...to make her own choices. It has changed my relationship with her too. A child excels in a positive atmosphere where she/he learns from her/his own mistakes.

The struggle is real sis... I have two boys, one speaks Banglish 😂 and youngest only English. My husband and I speak Bangla with them both at home, they understand but reply in their lingo. I remember as a kid myself, my parents spoke bangla ALL the time (i was born in UK) we watched hindi movies (without subtitles) and it came as second nature. My kids on the other hand watch hindi movies with subtitles, and can't figure out how I understand the films 😂😂😂 You have a beautiful family. Love your vlogs! Hugs Shilpa x

I have been fasting for 18-20 hrs since August 1st everyday, lost 11 lbs and have flat stomach now. Feel very good and light in the body, sleep well and feel happier. Listened to Dr. Jason Fung's vlogs a lot on youtube, decided to do it for my health, fasting works wonders. I eat light breakfast and lunch at 1.30 pm, skip dinner, fast until next morning 9.30 am. It will be hard first week fasting and then you get used to it. You are right about raising children, let them get motivated themselves to try new things and learn from their mistakes. Works out very well when she goes to work in real World outside! Great job! :)

We have been living in the US for 32 years. I always attended English medium schools in India, graduated from Mithibai college, higher studies in the US. Both my sons speak fluent Bengali although they grew up in the US. Now my grandson also speaks Bengali. I am glad to know that Sweety is fluent in English. Maithreyee mother toung is good for us and even comfort ....for beacaus were I grown up there we speak Telugu ,with my grandparents ,parents ,brother s sisters .. Friends etc ....even though we r not from Andhra but aur place is the border for Andhra, Karnataka and tamilnadu,u may no Kolar ,,,were the (KGF)movie shoot no that place ....so we speak Telugu much much there now I am staying in Bangalore so sweet speak in Kannada even though is very I love Kannada and I used to speak Kannada all the ways in colleges schools like that and all even though we speak Telugu as mentally with our friends and those who speak Telugu much but my kids and my husband hi Dono much to speak in Telugu it is very uncomfortable when I want to express their feelings are used to translate all the words in Kannada and I used to tell him .
