mcglock Rock and pop are really similar and music genres are subjective. In my opinion this would be indie garage rock since it’s more focused on guitar and the music in general, when pop is more about the vocals. Just an opinion :)

@@toryjaeger8557 eh pop music at this time was pretty guitar focused since that was just what most people were into back then (and tbh rock bands can write pop songs, it happens all the time) its really only recently that pop music has become more focused on vocals and other instruments rather than guitar

People say tiktok ruins songs because we think if a song touches that app, it probably will get mainstream and the songs are most forgotten hidden gems and a gang of 10 year olds dancing to a hidden gem kinda ruins the song and everything with it

@@hetran1360 the song is good because it's good. Not because it's unknown. Is Claire de lune bad because its popular and kids like it? That's a really immature perspective. POV It is the summer of ‘68, senior year. You are going on a road trip with your girl/boyfriend. It might be the last time you see each other. They tell you to stop at this diner and you both eat out at the picnic tables outside. This comes on the radio and they get up on the table and start dancing and singing. They are so carefree and amazing. You stare at them lovingly and almost forget you were eating. After the song you two head out and go to the middle of no where to watch the sunset and soon the stars.

This song makes me think of my crush. It reminds me of his perfect hair style, his adorable smile, his voice, his laugh, his beautiful eyes. Everything about him is so perfect. I sit next to him in class, and he likes to tease me sometimes. It makes my stomach sing songs. Hes so pretty.

This song makes me think of a happy old couple who were childhood friends and got married at 17. Now it’s the 60’s and they are still married and the wife took her husband to his favorite place: the place they met, also known as the place they got married with all their friends and family and children. Their love will never die. (I know this is very specific)

You know those songs that have the power to make you happy. Like, you just feel joy in your heart. Not a song of any genre that you like, even if it's one of those songs that you love and you're always listening to. I mean a happy song that makes you feel a real, authentic, warm kind of joy. Those kinds of songs that make your heart feel like it's having a warm bath, those songs that just make you smile.
