really nice one ! when the fish elf wins it always feels good :) In my opinion like in too much games the init of the turn 2 sealed the deal. Maybe leaving the bow snake further behind could have prevent Oliver from suffering such crippling blow on turn 2.

no sadly not, since the GC wouldn't be an 'eligible target' - in line with how the cloud of midnight works now, you would look to the next closest unit.

Basically my Idoneth list, though I put the thralls in 20 and the sharks in duo and the arcane tome on the thrall master to mystic shield for the turtle. I tried it in Morphan (usually Nautilar) and it worked fine. My main thing with Idoneth is that I mostly enjoy the turtle, so if the turtle doesn't do well, even if I win it's sort of a boring army. Reavers and sharks can be fun, but having to protect the turtle makes me sad.

I kinda feel IDK generally have DoK's number. They can mitigate shooting and also have equal or greater threat ranges, especially with fast units like the Akhelian King and the Allopex's. On top of that, you have High Tide which can completely screw up their opponent's melee damage output, which is DoK's main advantage in any matchup, and the IDK counter attack goes really well into low armor save DoK armies. Certainly if daughters can get their punches in they can really mess up an Idoneth army, but its an uphill battle. I've played DoK 4 times with my Idoneth and never lost (though those games weren't always the most competitive-I don't think any of those players really knew how to mitigate High Tide). It just feels like Idoneth have all the tools to deal with daughters, while daughters may have better viability into the overall meta because their high rend can get through the high durability armies, while IDK tend to struggle into durability with their mass rend -1 damage output.

Was excited to watch DoK but this was pretty much a non-game. Yikes. I feel like 15 Bowsnakes just isn't worth the points (or Ironscale tax). This is clearly a "for fun" list though so it is what it is. Idoneth looking pretty strong.
