I’m so proud that she’s Samoan descent. I don’t see her in a box though as just that. She is an unapologetically strong and proud woman with a big heart and I just really love that about her.

This is SO awesome! I'm so thankful for this series. When she said she's eager to learn Samoan, I totally get that. I can relate to her story of growing up in a dominantly white community and being the only brown girl in your class is daunting at times. I'm so thankful to be learning more about my heritage and wanting to be a more positive role model for my cousins and the kids I know who live here in the States. She is such a great inspiration and I love what she and her sisters are doing! Way to go!
