OVERVIEW LYRICS LISTEN PEOPLE ALSO SEARCH FOR Lyrics I've practiced this for hours, gone round and round And now I think that I've got it all down And as I say it louder, I love how it sounds 'Cause I'm not taking the easy way out Not wrappin' this in ribbons Shouldn't have to give a reason why It's no surprise I won't be here tomorrow I can't believe that I stayed till today Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise It came out like a river once I let it out When I thought that I wouldn't know how Held onto it forever, just pushing it down Felt so good to let go of it now Not wrapping this in ribbons Shouldn't have to give a reason why It's no surprise I won't be here tomorrow I can't believe that I stayed till today There's nothing here in this heart left to borrow There's nothing here in this soul left to save Don't be surprised when we hate this tomorrow God knows we tried to find an easier way Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise Our favorite place we used to go The warm embrace that no one knows The loving look that's left your eyes Tt's why this comes as no, as no surprise If I could see the future and how this plays out I bet it's better than where we are now But after going through this It's easier to see the reason why It's no surprise I won't be here tomorrow I can't believe that I stayed till today (stayed till today) Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise The kiss goodnight, it comes with me Both wright and wrong, our memories The whispering before we sleep Just one more thing that you can't keep Our favorite place we used to go The warm embrace that no one knows The loving look that's left your eyes But I know in time we'll find this was no surprise

Daughtry is one of the few artists whose songs are always so meaningful. Nowadays, mainstream music is just based on good tempo and catchy lines. Not saying they are not good, but they don't give you much to reflect on yourself or provide inspiration like Daughtry's songs does.

great song...i just love how it doesnt sound like anything on the radio and doesnt conform to that broken down mathematics of ever song out there...and i love that fact that he is one of only 10 people in the world that can sing and play guitar...and I really like that fact that the writer of that song isnt pictured...great job guys...keep up the great work...

Great performance.....just to comment on "his face" at the end....this was done for a radio show so he probably forgot there were cameras on him. I think we'd all see the "faces" we make if we had cameras on us 24/7 :P Check out my acoustic cover of this song when you get a chance....thanks too all who do in advance :)

He dropped the tuning a full step... DGCFAD, and then he uses the chords: E, B, C#m, and an A chord variation where its a normal A without the finger on the second fret of the b string

@canasfam he doesnt really sound sick, he sounds better in the baige room, but, this is also a tough song for chris to sing since it really isnt much in his comfortable key, in other songs he usually sings alot lower.
