Repeaters share a similar skill to moba games which is kiting.Kiting is usually a skill for Marksman type classes who output good damage from range but they get beaten up close. In Dauntless that doesnt really happen since you can dodge most attacks but Repeaters are the only weapon in the game were you can consistanly output damage even when behemoths do moves that melee weapons cant get close enough or were melee players need to stop and wait to go in melee range again. Think it as an imaginary line that seperates you and the behemoth. If you stick to that line and you consistanly attack and dodge you essentially always outputing damage that compencates for the damage lost when your melee teamates cannot get close to the behemoth. Edit: that imaginary line should be relativly close to max your damage.am not saying stay 30 meters away and chip for 90 dmg per shot. If the behemoth moves forward you go back and vice versa. If you have bonuses to get when you dodge go for it otherwise you risk wasting time that you could be dealing damage, for casual play it doesnt really matter but for those who do end game stuff a lot of times it becomes a deal breaker when the reliable damage source is wasting half of the fight dealing minimum damage cause they got stunlocked after getting caught in a bad position and then have to stay away. and last thing, if you need tonics to play well either go practice or change your build cause keeping the crutch or training wheels for too long will eventually fail you at some point

Wouldn't 'sharpened' help a lot with killing quickly striping it of parts? I'm only new but I thought taking parts off was a key to killing fast. I would love to hear your opinions on it and knockout king

That's just for materials. Killing behemoths is based off CORE DAMAGE (Grey Damage) and nothing else. Exactly lol. Use other weapons and learn the behemoth patterns. Repeaters rely almost WHOLLY on dodging

Any repeater build on this channel, dps is mostly about whether you can MATCH the playstyle of the build displayed. So make sure the build fits before you even try it. For example the max attack speed repeaters technically have the highest DPS in the game, but can you handle them?

For a question I've wondered since I started playing repeaters, say if I were to use tac mag and mark the same part with marksmans cham would I do 120% more damage to that part? Also if I was with a friend also playing repeaters and marks the same part I do would I gain the 25% from his as well as the 60% from mine?

No, they do not stack lol. A part is counted as marked ONCE, even if someone else shoots it or you shoot it again, it just refreshes the mark. That's all
