Great year from Canales, I agree with his decision to bench Bryce early in the season, it was the right decision for the team at the time, and I think the time away was beneficial for Bryce, more so than if he’d stayed the starter. The culture is changing in Charlotte, Canales and Bryce are big reasons for it. Keep Pounding!

They got rid of Johnson the moment he started to be toxic again, none of that in the Carolinas. Now our start can go to all pieces that don't start with QB

They had 9 of the 11 starters for several weeks straight towards the end of the season and were still performing terribly. Worst defense in NFL history is a wild statistic. Both in points allowed and rushing yards allowed. Idk, it’s kind of surprising to see him given another shot considering the historic nature of how bad they were. I did like Eviro before the season though so maybe with the right guys it can be turned around.

Evero is a great defensive coordinator. The Panthers lead the NFL in roster moves because of all the injuries. If the team was somewhat healthy probably could have made a playoff run. They had to use practice squad players, undrafted free agents players who were on the waiver wire. As long as they stay healthy next season I can see them in playoff contention

​@@trevaughnisom8618 there was a stretch of the season where the front 7 consisted of jayden peevy, labryan ray, nick thurman, charles harris, thomas incoom, claudin cherelus and chandler wooten. Not one single nfl caliber player and you expect the dc to somehow do something with that? You could assemble all the greatest defensive minds in nfl history and they wouldn't do shit with that defense. All we've done since evero has been here is take talent away from his defense and replace them with subpar pieces and then the remaining talent gets injured and replaced with xfl players. Don't get me wrong i get that we had to lose those players on defense to have the money to fix the offense but that's all the more reason to give him another year so we can actually have an off season of building the defense like we did on offense last year. If they still underperformed after we have actual nfl talent then we can fire him

I have to disagree, because even when the team was healthy the team got 42 point put up on them against the saints. Even when the majority played the defense still allowed rushing 200yds to happen.

The defense gave up 179yds per game no matter who was on the field. Before you injuries this injuries that injuries happen it’s the nfl. Our defense has more weapons than a lot of nfl defenses but we still played statistically worse than any other team.

Those stats from last year only tell half of the story. Opposing teams last year had short fields to work with which is the why the yds per game were so low. Points allowed were not good last year.

I feel everyone has valid points for this argument. The guys play hard for evero. I think Dan and Dave will ask him to adjust his scheme a bit which he will. He knows he's on the hot seat next year but we have to re-set the precedent that all we do is fire coaches after 1 yr. Yes I know this Evero's 2nd year but it's his 1st with coach C. I'm happy we are re-evaluating how the panthers conduct business and treat our players and coaches. Watch...mark my word. Panthers will have a top 15 defense and our run defense will improve drastically next year. It has to. Go PANTHERS!!

Next season will be a much better campaign for the Panthers. The important thing for this year was to just compete hard, adapt to challenges and give 100%, and I thought they did that. Go into this off-season, rest up, then begin training hard, hit the weight room and get ready to attack next season with a vengeance. We can only go up from here. The decline is over.

Defense stats: 179 Rushing yards per game (worst Ever) no matter who is on the field starter backups, practice squad 3057 rushing yards in total almost 1000 yards worse than the next bad team 31.4 points allowed per game (534 points total) worst ever Stop with the excuses the shit is historically bad there are team with way less talent on defense a lot more injuries that aren’t this bad Jags, bengals, Indy hell the lions entire defense is hurt and they still put up better numbers than this pathetic 💩. I love my team and I know we are trying to stop firing coaches but this ain’t it. DB and Shaq were the only two who went down for the season. As far as the guys that left, they left because they didn’t care for Ejiro scheme. He brought guys in that fit his system. They all were garbage excluding ashawn. What about his lack of adjustments during the game. Let’s not forget the defense was bad against the run last year with better personnel and also the defense was bad in the red zone as well. Also injuries come with the game you still don’t allow what the panthers put on tape defensively. The only thing Ejiro has done in the sport is coached the worst defense in NFL.
