At the end of the clip they cut off the saddest part of this scene. As Sherman goes to walk back out into the rain, he starts to lift the newspaper back above his head, but then decides not to bother. He's so dejected that he doesn't even feel his own head is worth shielding from the rain.
@MsAmique Жыл бұрын
Ok, now THAT makes me sad. Someone out there actually feels that way.
@alvexok5523 Жыл бұрын
It is sad. But what's sadder is that there's plenty of people who feel that way in real life, and who feel much worse, there are those who've taken their own lives because they haven't felt their body and their life isn't worth shielding from keeping their lives continuing. It really is sad and has made me feel like crying whenever thinking about any good souls who feel that way

@Jimmy Deedo II Yep, and both have been funny. Chappell isn't just funny here (especially when seeing his reaction to thin Buddy Love getting him back), but Chappell was also funny in "Robin Hood, men in tights", in 3 scenes especially, 1) When Cary Elwes as Robin Hood had to fight Little John to cross the bridge, Chappell goes to point out the tiny stream under the bridge and says "Yo hey, you don't have to do this. This ain't hardly the Mississippi in case you hadn't noticed. Look, (jumping over stream back and forth) I'm on the east side, I'm on the west side" 2) Robin Hood's other friend tries to jump onto the horse and can't, and Chappell says "Man, white men can't jump!" 3) When the Sherrif of Rottingham tries to attack Robin, Robin cuts the strap of the saddle making him slide down to where he's hanging underneath the horse, and then the Sherrif says "I was already annoyed before, Robin, but now I'm pissed off!". And Chappell replies "You hanging so close to that horse's wiener, I'd worry more about being pissed on" Lol

Watching him trying to pretend like it’s ok with him to laugh at his weight is crushing. Yeah it’s just a movie but stuff like this happens in some form or another in real life all the time. You can feel his pain. He was probably thinking he didn’t want to cause a scene by fighting back or fussing about it because then people would be like why can’t you just take a joke or why’d you come to a comedy show if you can’t take a joke?! So he feels like he has to just sit there and play along like he’s in on the joke as to not escalate the situation even further. Jokes are great. Laughing is a wonderful feeling and playfully making jokes about certain topics is fine if done in the right way. But being cruel and openly humiliating someone and trying to pass it off as a joke sucks
