So, therefore, you carry the X as your last name because your family's original last name is unknown. But, you have to get to certain a degree before you can obtain your X. So, therefore, until then, you will go by your government name. Meaning, it's on all of your legal documents ( birth certificate, social security card, id, license, etc. ). Now, it's a trend to say it for a lot of cats, but most of them don't even know what the hell it means. I know because I was in the Nation for 4 years. Sorry for the long write up.
