Thanks, I was so excited to talk to Dave. I forgot to ask him some questions. Maybe I can get him on again in the future.

Wow it’s so great how supportive Dave is with his amp owners and how much he cares about his products!

He’s a super cool guy and very approachable. Not too many company owners are like that. Probably going to sell my other amps and get more Friedman gear.

Would love me a Friedman amp! Been playing a Fender Bassbreaker 15 lately since the big Marshall's went away. It does the job for now. Nice interview, thanks.

Craig, I just modded my Runt 50 and now its my favourite amp of the bunch! teh mod is simple, just doubled the 1st coupling acp (from 2.2n to 4.4n) and its sounds more crunchy and full! Dave was very friendly and gave me info and sugestions!

Cool, I would like to hear more about this mod. Message me on Facebook if you want.

So what were you doing with the mod? Looking for more gain?
@pedrolourenco2707 Жыл бұрын
@@ManeshwarSingh a bit more gain at lower frequencies. Less tight but more organic and compressed

It's funny that He mentioned the Runt as one of his favorites, and that you can get an early Van Halen sound from it. That's the exact reason why I bought my Runt 20. I love it. Great interview. I love hearing his stories and input on things.

Ok that's it. I've been asking myself out all of these killer amps which one is the one? Thank you Mr. Dave. I have an AX3, v25, 5153-6, and two syn2s with 6 really good Pre amp modules. Can't wait to put the syn2s in the effects loop of the runt 50. An H9 tops off the syn2s rig. Blend all this together and you get chills every jam session ! The hunt is on. 👍 I was leaning this way initially.

The string seperation and heft to cleans and slight dirt tones are what I find most mesmerizing about his amps, especially the DS40. Since I can't afford one, my tech is going to convert my beloved JTM50 to DS spec. It's basically a hot rodded 800 with a JTM power section. I have vintage mullards in the preamp on it so I imagine this will be a great marriage. I would never do this to my baby but not for what Dave created. Badlands rocks BTW!

I have the Runt 50. I would suggest the presence around 10 o'clock treble noon, mids 1 o'clock and bass around 9 o'clock. Boost off, gain around 9 too. Good luck 👍🏻

I guess it is different when you are buying thousands in bulk. It is probably easier to notice the failure rate, compared to other tube brands.
