Wow, how many people don’t know about Dave? My kids didn’t know that me and there mom was married before. We were married over 20yrs, never really came up, told them all is good, but I listen to this regularly because of that conversation.

Those lines hit hard about pulling the glimmer out of your kids' eyes. I was married in my younger days and recently told my 9-year-old about it. Happened naturally and wasn't a big deal to her, but certainly something that weighed heavy on my mind. Great song/record. Sad I couldn't head out to West Seattle and catch your show last night.
