I saw a western movie (Shoot First and Pray You Live, 2008) and the credits showed that all of the music was written and performed by Dave Hill. The title of the instrumental played during the credits was "To The Bat Thingamajig". It definitely was not western music, but it was a superior example of surf guitar music. You can figuratively hear the rise and fall of the surf in this piece. I searched the internet for this song, but no luck. The surf guitar music at the end of this western flick doesn't make much sense. However, after you've seen some of Dave Hill's videos on KZbin, then you can tell his music makes a lot more sense than anything in this western movie. I hope that Dave Hill makes an album of Surf Guitar music because he is VERY good. Just listen to some of the current top bands that play surf guitar music and I think you'll agree that Dave Hill is equal to or even better than most of the others.
