Wow! I actually remember this whole skit from when I was a kid, particularly the 'can i pick you up' joke. Cheers for the laughs Hughesy! you're a legend mate.

Other than Dave Hughes’ classic humour, one thing I’m reminded of in this clip is that Livinia Nixon was as gorgeous 23 years ago as she is now!

Its no wonder Dave is so successful. He's real. His shows are always packed out, hes a massive TV & radio success & an very good, humble & down to earth friend. Australia could do with more artists like him. ✌🏻 ~Nick James (Melbourne, Australia)

I remember Hughesy's rise to fame, so seeing him now makes me feel pretty fkn old. Don't know what's with the haters, maybe dole people...
@jacinta2707 Жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, I saw a skit of yours from the Daryl Somers special last year with you talking about the dole office, which was really funny. I think it was your first TV appearance on Red Faces. I would love it if you had it here on KZbin. Thanks 😊

By actively seeking out diverse perspectives and engaging in continuous learning, we can cultivate empathy and compassion for others. This allows us to not only appreciate the differences that make each individual unique but also to understand the challenges they may face. Through this understanding, we can work towards dismantling systemic barriers and creating equal opportunities for all. It is through our collective efforts that we can build a society where everyone feels valued, heard, and included. Let us commit ourselves to ongoing education and growth, so that we may continue to foster a world that embraces diversity and promotes equality.

This reminds me of him calling into 3RRR on Friday mornings and also not being funny while such a low hanging dropkick (who was finally empower-rewarded on commercial TV ......to 'help' The Project viewers/sheep NOT aspire or ask for more/better).

@@eldoroonie Nah that's bullshit. I'm reposting this from previous: I used to hang out with Dave in Perth at the start of his career in the early 90's. You may not care for his comedy but I can tell you why he made it. He had a lot of focus, a lot of discipline and guts. Really it's that simple. He had a crack. We didn't know if he would make it. But he did. So there ya go. You have to at least respect a bloke that had f*ck all, came from f*ck all and with just will power and courage made something special of his life. Good luck to him
