I remember first hearing Dave talk on the John Ankerberg Show in the mid-eighties. He was always faithful to Christ and His word. Dave only wanted people to know God in all God's righteousness, love, and truth. Dave exposed the lies of Satan, and all the religions, and cults that are puppets of the evil one, Satan. Only Jesus of Nazareth, in the Bible, can save you. Jesus' name means salvation in Him alone.

I guess we all experience different things because no church in any denomination is going to be exactly the same.

@@leialee6820 I guess I'd need to know exactly what you mean by "caring and loving" and "you are on your own". On my own to do what? Walk out my salvation with fear and trembling? Isn't that supposed to be done on my own? What do you mean? What it sounds like to me is you are hung up on the "social gospel" where the church is supposed to be a whet nurse and welfare source to Christians - which is a false gospel. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:24-25 that the responsibility of the church is to "spur one another on to love and good works" - encouraging one another in the faith. As a former charismatic, I was encouraged to give and was shown love and care in so far as I was giving. So putting this on the Baptists isn't exactly fair.

Does love & caring or compassion have to be explained or if you are left on your own as a single person bringing up a baby on your own & no one shows you love in action - Just church on Sunday. Same when my son died suddenly aged 22 & I couldn't experience any love, compassion or kindness in action & was on my own without any family. If you think this is how the church should behave to one another or the early church behaved to one another then you are wrong. If my Christian faith depended on Christians I wouldn't have a Christian faith anymore.

I believe they are 2 different events - one for the believers at the Bema seat of Christ where we throw our crowns at the feet of Jesus. A day of pure joy! And the Great White Throne of Judgements for the unbelievers only. A day of great remorse and mourning.

Luke 17:26 is not referring to a secret rapture that so many premill dispensationalists teach but rather it is the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus coming to judge the world. It is the Last Day. It is the general resurrection of the just and the unjust.

I would like to add that in 1Thess 4 the “DEAD IN CHRIST” (NOT all the dead) will be raised at the rapture….all the dead raised in the second coming are the believers and unbelievers ( the believers who came through and saved in the great tribulation of 7 years and all the unbelievers since time began….the seed of the serpent). The great throne judgement separates the sheep from the goats.

Preface - I get confused about it myself, but here’s the thing, we don’t have to know except for our curiosity as we won’t be here. I think that’s part of the reason we’re told to be ‘comforted by these words’. But as it is explained to me… The regenerated believers of the Tribulation are the Tribulation martyrs as we see in The Book of Revelation Chapter 7 and 12. They’re already in Heaven before the Second Coming. believing Gentiles, Israel, and resurrected/raptured believers (all of whom have glorified bodies) will occupy the Earth. It should be noted, however, that believers with glorified bodies will not be reproducing. There is no marriage after this life. Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the responsibility of faith in Christ as all people of past ages have (faith in Christ since His coming; faith in God before. Unfortunately, not all of the children that are born during the millennial kingdom will come to faith in Christ. Those that do not will be led away by Satan into rebellion against God (Battle of Armageddon) at the end of the millennial kingdom when Satan is let loose for a short time. For a further look at this subject (who will live into the millennial kingdom), look also at the following passages: Isaiah 2:2-4; Zechariah 14:8-21; Ezekiel 34:17-24; Daniel 7:13-14; Micah 4:1-5

IF your name doesn't appear in the Lamb's Book of Life and your not saved, it really doesn't matter as far as you are concerned. IF you miss the Rapture assuming that its a true doctrine of an up coming event, you won't miss it because you believed in the wrong version of the Rapture, it will be because your not saved and your name isn't written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

To be saved a person must change their mind and Trust in their Heart ONLY on Jesus’ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) DEATH (includes the shedding of Lord Jesus’ blood), BURIAL, and RESURRECTION for salvation, with NO faith for salvation on any type of human effort, works, or claimed positive human qualities. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) - “For by GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God; NOT of WORKS, lest any man should boast.” (GRACE means UNDESERVED FREE GIFT. NO human effort or works can be involved in receiving or keeping salvation. We must trust ONLY on the payment for all sins that Lord Jesus made at the cross.) Romans 11:6 (KJV), “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace....” (Trusting on ANY human effort or works means that person is not under grace, but is attempting to qualify for salvation by the law/commandment keeping/human effort, and is therefore NOT saved). Trusting on any works or claimed human goodness for eternal salvation means NO salvation. Galatians 5:4 (KJV), “Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved). Galatians 3:10 (KJV), “For as many as are of the works of the law ARE UNDER THE CURSE; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” (We CAN’T keep all of the law (not sin) and are therefore condemned by the law.) Our BEST righteous acts, for the purpose or earning or qualifying for salvation, are as FILTHY RAGS: Isaiah 64:6 (KJV), “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” The UNDESERVED FREE GIFT of Salvation is received by ANY person that Trusts in their Heart ONLY on Jesus’ (God the Son who came as God in flesh) DEATH (includes the shedding of Lord Jesus’ blood), BURIAL, and RESURRECTION for salvation, with NO faith for salvation on any type of human effort, works, or claimed positive human qualities. This is because they are in rebellion against God. They want to establish themselves to be as the Most High. Also, the payment for all human sins, made by Lord Jesus on the cross, does not cover the sins of demons and Satan. A person is operating similar to Satan and demons when they believe they have done something, such as Repenting of Sins, to make themselves Worthy/ DESERVING of Eternal life and Salvation. Salvation must be received by GRACE (UNDESERVED GIFT) through Faith, plus Nothing. There is NOTHING a person can do to make themselves worthy / DESERVING of salvation.
