My father, my brother and I all studied with Joe Allard and I believe that this video is an excellent way for all woodwind players to benefit from the master’s teachings. Great job, Dave!

Some confusion on vocal cords. The muscles of vocal cords are engaged if we produce voice. So, in blowing I cannot imagine it’s meaning. He read it from some book I assume. I think it must be understood as “oral and pharyngeal cavity as a resonator”. Cords don’t matter in blowing.
