Heres an update of progress and changes from my last video I posted over 2 years ago showing my Maybrook Line HO Scale Layout. It is based on Penn Centrals operations from the late 60's to early 70's. The layout runs from Maybrook, NY to Cedar Hill, CT and in this video you will chase several road jobs and see a few local freights. The main attraction is the former New Haven Railroads Poughkeepsie Bridge over the Hudson River. Its all still a work in progress, but progressing.... Enjoy, Dave

Fantastic job with your layout. I grew up in Accord NY, I now live in Middletown NY, so I am very familiar with these landmarks. I really feel like you captured the landscape very well. I am currently working on completing a 3 rail O scale set modeled after the Cass Scenic RR. However, I have collected 60's-70's era diesels to operate on my layout. I live in an area where the Middletown & NJ travels right in front of my home.

Very Awesome job and layout. If I may ask what timeframe are you modeling because I saw alot of EL, PC, NH and it got me thinking that it's early Conrail?

My house in Highland was about 80 feet from the tracks. Moved to Poughkeepsie in 1966. Watched trains cross the bridge for the next 8 years.

Fantastic amount of detail: well done! I have noticed that different railroads have Right-hand or Left-hand driving like your layout and in real life. Going back to the period of your layout, why do you have Left-hand driving? Thank you!!!!

Dave: fantastic model railroad. I grew up Eastern Ohio-Western PA. This is the late ‘60s - early ‘70s. This is exactly how this time period looked. And b&w - just how so many railroad films still were made! Grimy buildings and businesses. The slow pace of the trains. It’s all here.

Words that I can't describe this...beyond awesome. This hard work and dedication you put yourself in with this masterpiece was well worth it. The music also sets me in the mood for memories when I'm in the lobbies of Marriott hotels I stay at when this similar music plays. Keep up the good work and look forward for more progress from you.

How beautiful to watch the trains rolling through the landscape Dave, the towns and over that amazing bridge! Love the rail fanning perspective and all of camera angles too. The music was perfect and you guys killed it!! My Foot was going the whole time just a super cool groove on the amazing Maybrook Line.....5 STARS !!!

Captures well, a fascinating era in railroading and a fascinating railroad. Like the artiness of it -shot in black and white, with some super camera angles and lots of details. I liked the New Haven-led freight ducking underneath the viaducts and passing the passenger platforms and large depot. Great bridges. The Lackawanna units even had the side-mounted air horns, just like the real thing. I think they mounted them that way for tunnel clearance reasons. Maybe, for authenticity's sake, have a couple of grimy E8s pulling four VERY weathered Budd lightweight passenger cars and feature a Penn Central work train at a derailment site, lol! Just kiddin' ya in a good-natured way. I don't see many Penn Central or Erie Lackawanna layouts. This one is fantastic.

To cool. I was born in Poughkeepsie and grew up in Lagrangeville, not far from Hopewell JCT. I’ve always had a fascination with the Maybrook Line. My brother still lives in the area. He works for Metro North and operates trains out of Poughkeepsie. I would love to see this in person. Great Job!

David, love this. I live on Berea Road in the Town of Montgomery, about 1500 feet east of the NH right-of-way. Moved here 10 years after the Poughkeepsie Bridge fire effectively killed the NH line. I would have loved to see this area back in it's hayday, especially the Maybrook Yard. I have a brother who works for Metro North on the NH line, and is a huge RR buff. Are you local to the area?
